We encourage positive awareness among African and Caribbean people and work towards becoming a ‘community’ that is people with shared experience, interests, goals etc.To promote, develop and maintain working relationship with other organisations in Scotland and increase community identity and organisation, promoting economic development and employment opportunities and provide specialist services to meet needs which other organisations do not address for people of African descent and their families.

We promote African culture through music, literature, arts, seminars etc.We provide a resource for African people wishing to organise and develop self-help groups.Africa centre also promote the elimination of oppression on the basis of gender, disability, religion, race, age, or sexual orientation ,promoting cordial and effective relations with the wider community through education, cultural exchange and social activities.We also develop and deliver African centred educational programmes.
